4 Easy Ways to Add Movement into Your Wedding Day Video

Once you've hired your wedding videographer you will be able to relive your wedding day again and again. Someone with experience will be able to help give your cues to make the most of your shooting time. But to help give your wedding film more movement here are some fun and easy ways for the bride and groom to keep the action alive while the photographer and videographer capture the special day.

  1. Slide Your Hands Little movements can have big impact. The simple action of sliding your hands down your spouse's arm, back or cheek can add a sweet touch to a still pose. Try to keep your hands relaxed (slight curve to your fingers) and don't cover the other's face.

  2. Twirl Around Every wedding gown deserves to be shown off. A traditional way to do that is to spin around in a circle. This can make you dizzy and feel uncomfortable so another way to achieve a similar effect is to hold onto your skirt and twirl back and forth instead of all the way around.

  3. Turn Your Head I like to have my clients adjust the direction their facing to help add movement when a photographer is double checking their equipment between shots. This way we don't lose the pose but by turning your head toward each other or away you get some action without having to move.

  4. Walk or Run When you have the opportunity to do big motion you can add physical movement to get more dynamic shots without going crazy. Walking between locations? Hold hands and look at each other and a good videographer will capitalize on the natural moment. Or if you're up for it a short run together can be a fun shot.

  5. Bonus: Dance! If you're feeling a bit nervous you can take time to dance with your new husband, no dance floor required. Just rocking back and forth with hands wrapped around each other can be cute. Or if you're really feeling the celebration go big and bust a move!

Be sure to share and remember you are the star to your wedding film, try to have fun!
